Writing Expectations for Pre Kindergarten
A picture to denote their thinking followed b y the initial sound the word makes. You may write the word and place it on a post-it if they are unable to spell the word. You may write the sentence on a post-it if they are able to generate one.
They must write at least one or more words written by them (accompanied by a picture). Spelling is developmentally appropriate. They are recognizing and writing some sight words. They must be able to write their first and last name.
They must be able to write at least one sentence with picture support. They must use developmentally appropriate spelling and be able to spell their sight words correctly. Picture must support text. They must be able to write their first and last name. They must use proper grammar.

Homework packets are sent home every Monday (or first day of the week) and should be returned by Friday.
If a homework packet is misplaced, please send in a note and I will send a new one home.
Please make sure that you check your child's folder every night. Send back any fliers or notices that need to be signed.
