We are an application/lottery school. 

If you would like your child to be considered for our school for grades 1 thru 5.  Please stop by the office to fill out an application and bring with you your child's recent report card.


A Letter From Our Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians of our “little dolphins”,

June is fast approaching, and we would like to take this time to once again thank you for everything that you do to help make our academy so amazingOur partnership is strong, and we want it to continue to be that way for the years and years to come!

 We want to apprise you of the June calendar so that you will have plenty of time to prepare for the many wonderful events that we have scheduled in June.  (*We also included some May reminders as well.)

1/2 day and last day of school:

  • Wednesday, June 28th is the last day of school - It is a half-day for ALL students.  All students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon on this day.  There is yellow bus service.  Students will receive their report cards and their summer homework packet on this day.

Please join us at “Parent/Guardian Curriculum Night” on Wednesday, May 17th so that you can find out about the curriculum of your child’s future grade.  You can join us at 4:30-5:30 p.m., 5:30-6:30 p.m., and 6:30-7:30 p.m.   All staff, including Cluster Teachers, will present on that evening so you can visit as many classrooms as you’d like!

We look forward to seeing you at all of these events!

Language Assistance Services

The Department of Education is committed to ensuring that you have a meaningful opportunity to participate in and have access to programs and services critical to your child's education.  The Department of Education provides translation and interpretation services that will assist you in communicating effectively with your child's school.  Information about your rights regarding translation and interpretation services is available in the main office of this school.

Parents who need language assistance should contact Norma Santaliz, Parent Coordinator.

Download Microsoft Office 365 for Free on Your Home Computers

All parents and guardians with children who attend New York City public schools now have free access to Microsoft software and services.  Thanks to a partnership between the Department of Education, Microsoft, and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, parents/guardians of city students across all five boroughs will be able to download the following Microsoft digital products free of charge:

  • Office 365 ProPlus on Windows (WOrd, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Skype for Business, Access, InfoPath and Publisher)
  • Office for Mac Professional 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
  • Office iPad, iPhone, Andriod (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)

In addition, all city students and their parents/guardians will have free online access to Microsoft's Cloud service as well as Office Online.

Parents will be able to download Microsoft software on up to five family computers and five family tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices.  To download this software, parents should visit the Microsoft website and enter their home phone number or email address in addition to their child's date of birth.

Any P.S> 65 parent/guardian who is having difficulties registering for the Microsoft software should contact Norma Santaliz, Parent Coordinator.

Water Safety in NYC Schools

Families can learn more about the protocols the Department of Education uses to ensure the safety of drinking water in each and every school, as well as to look up water test results for their child’s school. This fall, the State issued new regulations on testing water for lead in schools.

3rd Annual
P.S. 65
Basket Bash Fundraiser

Our 3rd Annual Basket Bash Fundraiser was a great evening and a big success held this year at the Grand Oaks Country Club.  We celebrated our school, old and new friendships, our collaborative efforts for the year, and most of all, our staff and teachers. The funds raised from the event will support the P.S. 65 Music and Art programs, as well as our enrichment programs.

Hope to see new faces at next year's event!
